Hi Everyone, I am a little behind in posting these amazing events for you, only due to the fact I am still getting over this winter virus.

There have been and still are many awesome events on at the moment that you most definately needed lots of linden as there are too many items that you cannot ignore and if you are like me too tempting not to walk past and ignore.

One event the Indie Teepee that is closed now, was an annual music and arts festival that was created for the residents of Second Life who were inspired by the music festival trend that is ubiquitous in the real world. The event featured many genres of music, including rock, indie, hip hop and many other types of music. Apart from live performance Indie Teepee never missed out on delivering for us.

Inspired by the soulfulness of the musical festival trend, Zerkalo one awesome Second Life artist created the Lonely Bard Guitar and Chair which is available now at their store.

Stress is something I’ve been intimately acquainted with since I was a teenager. I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself to perform to a high standard, and often end up losing sleep due to stress. Since I’m working on decreasing stress in my life, since my recent illness, I have been reading non stop what could be the cause of my sudden mind blowing migraines which seem to be non stop at least twice a week.

I think what I was surprised to read, was the friends of mine saying, “play through the pain” or “it will get better soon" when we sustain an injury or get ill? More often than not, these slogans are more harmful than helpful. Most definitely you need strength to get through the pain, However, If your body says that it’s hurt, then take the message seriously and use your mind to help the healing process along. Not listening to your body is a good way to aggravate an injury or to ignore it completely, things will only get more serious.  Don’t think of that nagging injury as putting the brakes on your training progress. Instead, look at it as an opportunity to reassess your needs for the moment. Shift your mindset and understand that the time off during the healing process will serve you better in the long run. Your health is important. So what if the boss is yelling at you, you need to come in and/or the phone rings non stop from work. You need to give your body the proper time it needs to heal, and it will rejuvenate and refresh you in the end, no matter what the illness. Basically, you are only human, so sometimes it is your body saying time to slow down.

It seems like ages ago when I used to write in a blog called SL Coffee Talk. I thought I might share for you one article I wrote which I think still today is still current. We all remember the expression from Forest when he says " Life is like a box of Chocolates, you never know what you're going to get". This classic phrase from the movie, I honestly didn't know what it meant. Did it mean, we are pulled in different directions, never knowing what is going to happen in our lives, or perhaps it meant you never know what to expect.  

SL is a little bit like that sometimes. We create works of art, we give meaning to life, we love the ones beside us, we laugh, cry, and we protect those we care about. Most of all we give a little of ourselves to everyone around us, whether we know it or not. Each conversation we have with someone in SL, we are giving a little of ourselves away.

I have noticed some relationships are like that in SL, We have the women and men do the whole dating scene, and scout around for that one beauty, or funny, popular, a leader, someone with talent, charm or even money. We look for that soul mate, the person that can make us feel loved and warm, and the person/s that can be by our side living out the fantasy that we dare not create in RL, or are too scared to admit to change within ourselves.

I guess life is like a box of chocolates. We are given, or buy ourselves something that for some seems to be perfect, but when you get to the bottom of the box, those moments can be sweet or sour. If you honestly don't like that sweet chocolate today, and want a change, then there is nothing stopping you from seeking out that perfect chocolate, or that moment in which can make you happy.

What makes me happy today, is the beautiful works of Indyra Original, and the casual yet versatile pose that has been created by Elephante Poses is only a short walk away.
