#616 Ô, Sunlight! The most precious gold to be found on Earth...


Summer always makes me smile! I’m one of those folks who love the wonderful dry heat we are blessed to live in! I love the colours of summer….the deep blues, greens, whites, and reds of our landscape and sky. I love watching the trees swaying in a gentle wind and watching the light bounce off of each individual leaf; I love the warmth of the sun on my face; I love the river rising, the longer days of sunlight, and the opportunity to be outdoors to play hard! I love summer! 
If I had a choice I would keep summer at approx. 24’c, no hotter nor colder. This would be bliss. Just enough warmth to soak the body, not burn too much, nor sweat like a trooper. That temperature is just bliss.

Take a moment to think about what you love this time of year.  Even if you are not a summer person, there are things to love! Taking the time to appreciate our surroundings and our lives appreciate what you have in summer, the smells, the tastes, the sounds, they are all divine.

#615 The only adventure you regret is the one you didn’t take...


Mark Twain once said “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.”
We hear people lament their lost loves, lost health and lost opportunities all the time.  When we’re young, we feel we have all the time in the world to make the right choices, go after our goals and find our true purpose in life. By the time we become old; we will have accomplished some of those aims and missed out on others. That’s normal, because life is finite. And of course, what’s important to us at age 26 is totally different to what matters at 56.
Each life stage brings new challenges, new triumphs and new disappointments. Some of us seem to accumulate a formidable load of regrets by our 30s, while others manage to reach their last years of life and say “I wouldn’t have done anything differently – that was a full life and I’m satisfied.”
We’re all different in our expectations of ourselves and the world we live in. At the end of life, regret is useless – it’s a negative emotion that accomplishes nothing. But when we’re younger, regret has some use: it can be a prod that pushes us to live life as we wish, not as we must.
Some of us regret that we didn’t live life the way we want too, we didn’t travel abroad more often, we wish we didn’t work so hard, etc etc.
We all have some small regrets even at the age of 30 or 40. Perhaps the biggest mistake we all make is saying “I’ll start tomorrow”. The time to start making the right choices for your life isn’t tomorrow – it’s right now, because tomorrow is never guaranteed.

#611 Nearly forgot my broken heart, it's time to remember what we have..


I was listening to a song the other day aka (name of title) and the singer when creating the song was asking himself “What happens when someone suddenly realises that they’re moving on with their lives? Whether they had a bad experience, or got fired, or are suffering with their self-esteem, or got dumped – whatever it is – feeling like life is going to be dark forever, and then you realise one day, it is not going to be that bad after all.

We are all in an age of wanting reassurance, wanting things right now, as he calls it “a weird age where there’s more and more immediate distraction and we’re all getting used to it,” “The distraction is just absurd – watching a YouTube video of a guy falling off a skateboard, this kind of crap! 

Our eyes are just sort of buried into our smart phones now, so I think we’re going through a period of getting further and further away from recognising what we have, appreciating life for what it is, giving thanks for all the awesome moments in your life whether good or bad, but appreciating all “that the crazy planet can provide and all these amazing things.”

As they say in the advertisements... it is remembering to look up once in a while.

#607 Indie Teepee is coming your way in a matter of hours..




Indie Teepee (Midsummer Nights) opens it’s doors to you at 12pm SLT on the 8th July and boy what a line up is available to you all.

On the 8th July, the festival opens with Dj’s from AAi and a spectacular firework show by Briony Events Unlimited.

There will be Music, Theatre, Pit Shows and Workshops, Creative Forums, Poetry Reading, Prim Charades, Games and Fashion Shows during the course of this festival, and did I mention the shopping?

#477 Come sing me a ballad with Zerkalo, Zenith and Indyra


Hi Everyone, I am a little behind in posting these amazing events for you, only due to the fact I am still getting over this winter virus.

There have been and still are many awesome events on at the moment that you most definately needed lots of linden as there are too many items that you cannot ignore and if you are like me too tempting not to walk past and ignore.

One event the Indie Teepee that is closed now, was an annual music and arts festival that was created for the residents of Second Life who were inspired by the music festival trend that is ubiquitous in the real world. The event featured many genres of music, including rock, indie, hip hop and many other types of music. Apart from live performance Indie Teepee never missed out on delivering for us.

Inspired by the soulfulness of the musical festival trend, Zerkalo one awesome Second Life artist created the Lonely Bard Guitar and Chair which is available now at their store.
