No 1 horror of being a blogger, when you create a picture and you forget to post it. Ugggh.
One such post is this I share with you today. The theme of this blog is about Mental Health and well us bloggers and designers, need to take a time off here and then to catch up or what I call a mental health day. In my line of work, I see copious people take sick days just to have that rest that is needed away from their hectic life, so I say to them rather than take a sick day, unless you are really sick, if you work some longer hours I will grant that mental health day for you. I can tell you that the number of sick days have decreased and everyone returns back to work from their mental health day more willing to give the job a go and their productivity increases. The smiles on their faces say everything!!


I have the same opinion with SL, we all need to take a break away from our screen, even if it is only half  a day, the rest is important to our health, and our well being.


Did you know that good mental health is a sense of wellbeing, confidence and self-esteem. It enables us to fully enjoy and appreciate other people, day-to-day life and our environment. When we are mentally healthy we can:
form positive relationships

• form positive relationships;
• use our abilities to reach our potential;
• deal with life’s challenges and don't we have a lot of those sometimes.

We can improve our mental health by following these few tips: -

• exercise regularly
• eat healthy meals
• get enough sleep
• spend time with friends and loved ones
• develop new skills
• relax and enjoy your hobbies
• set realistic goals
• talk to your GP or a health professional if there is anything concerning you.

Why not talk to your manager, your family, your loved ones and say to them, today I am not cleaning, today I am not going on SL, I am having a mental health day.

You’ve heard the old saying. “A picture is worth a thousand words.” However, why do we take photos? What is the appeal that makes photographers continue to take photos?
Professionals do it to get paid. It’s how they pay the bills, but, they also have a love for photography. It’s that love that drives photographers to keep shooting pictures. So, I guess the real question is, why do we love taking photos for our blogs? Here are some of my reasons.
Captured Memories: - How many times have you gone to a friend or family member’s home and picked up a photo album or scrolled through photos on your iphone? Were you able to go through that album without smiling at least once?  If you’re like me, you probably turned through the pages of that photo album and re-lived some of the memories you saw in the pictures. I’m sure you said things like “I remember this!” or “We had so much fun here!”
Captured Moments: - Moments happen all the time and they can happen fast. A kitten pouncing on a ball of yarn. A wave crashing against the shore. A baby taking its first walk. Photography freezes these moments so we can take the time to enjoy them.
Stories to tell: - Have you ever seen a photograph that just made you stop and look?  These stories can be happy, sad, and any number of other emotions. So get out your camera and go capture some memories! Go capture the moments that happen around you! Tell stories with your images!  Most importantly, share your images with others. Because your photography can not only inspire you, but it can inspire others as well.

Many events opened this month in which one of them is the Boho Culture Fair 3 which opens it's doors today - October 10th. Invited to join the blogger team for this year’s Boho Culture Fair this event features many and new artists and unique Boho Styles.



One creation is that of Cheeky Bea which I am wearing today, teemed up with the beautiful new head scarf from GizzA and some creative items just released at The Mens Department from Oyasumi.

Most people go through their daily lives assuming that tomorrow will be a lot like today. No pits of fire will open up, society won't collapse, and the world will most likely not end. But for others, doomsday has a certain appeal. I have always wondered why.



I am no different like others though, I love the thrill of the apocalyptic movies such as "Book of Eli, The War of the Worlds, The Time Machine, and Planet of the Apes". Just to name a few.



The apocalyptic worldview springs from a desire to reconcile two conflicting beliefs. "The first is that there is something dreadfully wrong with the world of human existence today," or there is a sense that there is a higher good or some purpose for existence, a hope for a better future."  With more and more technologies able to wreak mass destruction, a greater knowledge of what cosmic threats our planet faces, and more forms of media capable of trumpeting Armageddon, it seems as if there is more hype than ever about one supposedly impending apocalypse or another in the future despite all the failed doomsday predictions over the years like for eg: 2012.

Call it circadian rhythms, call it the daily ebb and flow of blood sugar, call it magic if you want; the fact remains that our brains seem to keep to a timetable that can be very hard to change and even harder to fight. Whether your personal schedule prefers you to work late at night and you like your sleep in's or myself love an early rise, get onto work, feel the soak of the sun and then the creative juices seem to flow after coffee at around 10am. It pays to understand just how your mind’s abilities wax and wane over the course of the day. So how can we discover our most creative times – and how can we best make use of them? The secret is to wake up when you want too, (dependent upon work), don't oversleep, eat well and then you will find yourself refreshed and ready to get out and about, or get busy being creative.
