Call it circadian rhythms, call it the daily ebb and flow of blood sugar, call it magic if you want; the fact remains that our brains seem to keep to a timetable that can be very hard to change and even harder to fight. Whether your personal schedule prefers you to work late at night and you like your sleep in's or myself love an early rise, get onto work, feel the soak of the sun and then the creative juices seem to flow after coffee at around 10am. It pays to understand just how your mind’s abilities wax and wane over the course of the day. So how can we discover our most creative times – and how can we best make use of them? The secret is to wake up when you want too, (dependent upon work), don't oversleep, eat well and then you will find yourself refreshed and ready to get out and about, or get busy being creative.
