Q: What can we learn from this?
 

A: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very high up.

If you are as cunning as the crow, you know that from high up you can always see around you, and should be aware of what is going on around you at all times. Safety at all times is paramount, no matter where you are and what you are doing.

Missing the sun's rays at the moment, I couldn't hesitate having a lay down on this awesome creation by Zerkalo for the Shiny Shabby Event. Wearing the beautiful outfit from GizzA Creations called the Gizza Madelyn Dress which comes in an assortment of colours such as Soil, Stone, Camel, Pink, Blue and Black (see pic below).

Resting back, covering my eyes with the beautiful hat from Baiastice, wearing the stone colour from Gizza, belly full after eating a few plums,  I closed my eyes only to hear the wind whispering and the gulls flying by.

I have been told that a short cat nap as I call it can refresh you without throwing off your sleep schedule. They say find a dimly lit place, or under a hat in my case, and take a short twenty minutes, any longer and you could slip into deeper stages of sleep and unfortunately waking up then you can be groggy and unable to sleep later.

Sometimes that is all you need to say good afternoon world I'm having a quick siesta and some me time.  Feeling the Vitamin B, C, and A seeping into my pours, this is the country life don't you think?

Have you ever been lost? I can tell you numerous times I will be told to meet a friend at a certain place and the damn GPS takes me to a dead end and I think great, so there will be a road here one day, but now what. I want to get over there damn it!!.

Well that is me anyhow, I am terrible at using a road map, let alone to update the GPS with the latest maps, and then again and hopeless at taking directions.

One thing I am good at is memorizing songs. If I hear a song on the radio I turn the music way up, and think WOW I want that song!! I search for it, download it and then am one happy camper driving the next day, playing that song over and over again. But beside hearing the song a few times before I get a chance to download it, I do miss the old days of buying a cassette tape, and pausing to grab the lyrics.  I get so lost in the translation, words that sometimes I hear things that aren't there. I do thank those dedicated souls on on the Intranet that provide us with the lyrics.

One song that I have been listening to a lot of lately over and over again is the song from Twillight called "Lets get lost" (see below for video). Her voice is so calming, soothing, yet haunting. I think to the day that I watched that movie and heard that song for the first time. Yes am honest to admit it I indeed got lost. Lost in an hour of fantasy and excitement that I wanted to be like Bella.

One place you can't get lost at is that of Pose Fair for 2015 which opens in just a few days.  Excited to be invited back to Pose Fair this being my third year now. Pose Fair has some amazing artists that have designed and created such fluid moves for your beautiful avi that will keep you posing day after day. One such pose I am using now is from Atooly created by Rockstarroo GossipGirl.

Valentines Day as you know is all about the flowers, and the gifts. Whilst it isn't commonly celebrated here in Australia, there is always the sentimental value of giving flowers because you love someone.  Have you ever heard though of the language of flowers? It’s an old belief that each flower has a certain meaning, and there’s an appropriate time and place to use them. People used to use flowers to express feeling that they weren’t able to say. Today we often pick flowers based on color or personal preference, like red roses for Valentines Day, but we wanted to explore how you can use different flowers symbolically for different events you’re planning. After all, there are flowers for every occasion!
Some examples: - Romance - Colours tend to be either all white, or deep, saturated colours mixed with baby's breath choose bouquets and arrangements that signify love, devotion, and hope for the future.  Weddings: -  Baby’s breath, lilac, red and Blue Tulips with white roses and aster are all great choices for weddings. Graduation Flowers - Graduation arrangements are our favorites of the bunch, because they’re all so full of hope and well-wishes – they’re also all colorful and a bit different. Some great flower choices are the black-eyed Susan, iris, stargazer lily, and jasmine., just to name a few.

Most people go through their daily lives assuming that tomorrow will be a lot like today. No pits of fire will open up, society won't collapse, and the world will most likely not end. But for others, doomsday has a certain appeal. I have always wondered why.



I am no different like others though, I love the thrill of the apocalyptic movies such as "Book of Eli, The War of the Worlds, The Time Machine, and Planet of the Apes". Just to name a few.



The apocalyptic worldview springs from a desire to reconcile two conflicting beliefs. "The first is that there is something dreadfully wrong with the world of human existence today," or there is a sense that there is a higher good or some purpose for existence, a hope for a better future."  With more and more technologies able to wreak mass destruction, a greater knowledge of what cosmic threats our planet faces, and more forms of media capable of trumpeting Armageddon, it seems as if there is more hype than ever about one supposedly impending apocalypse or another in the future despite all the failed doomsday predictions over the years like for eg: 2012.
