Is there anything more beautiful than a horse in flight? Just to watch a horse running is an awesome experience. The beauty of its gait and with its mane and tail blowing in the wind it is surely a splendid sight to behold, even more so when it is wild in the mountains.

At Melbourne in Australia when it is close to the first Tuesday in November everyone begins gearing up for the annual running of the two mile classic horse race, the Melbourne Cup and horses are the subject on everyone’s lips. There is a heightened palatable atmosphere and a sense of expectation from both the locals and visitors, who can easily sense it. The city shops are full of fashionable frocks for fabulous fillies and racing breakfasts, racing brunches, racing lunches and racing dinners are in full swing as total Melbourne Cup madness abounds.

The country ladies and gents flock to Melbourne to experience the city life, and the place comes to a complete stand still on this special day. Shops close, no one in the street, a public holiday for all in Melbourne. If not at the race, in cities in Australia others are glued to their television sets watching the race that seems to stop a nation. Melbourne or more so Victoria, was the landscape behind the movie Man from snowy river. The beauty and scenery of the land, is a must see, and one that brings me back every year.

FashionArt opened it's doors today and singing praises at the astounding quality of creativeness and designs available for all the fashion lovers like myself. There are so many artists sharing their unique styles and concepts for FashionArt.

Wearing one amazing creation from LivGlam called the Modern Art Dress, with matching bag. It was the perfect outfit to wear at another artists creation and that being the scene at Immersiva by Bryn Oh. Walking around this large site with my little headlamp, I sneakily turned off the lamp after failing miserably, stumbling galore and was thrilled with the light and shadows for this blog post.

Many different religions will celebrate Easter in their own way whether that be a public holiday or the christian tradition of celebrating Easter.   Easter for some is a time to celebrate with your loved ones, to celebrate 'Hope and Love'. There are many traditions that come with Easter which include sweets and baked goods, the boiling and dying of eggs, the Easter bunny, Easter candy and baskets. Many people also have a huge dinner to celebrate Easter every year. Hot Cross Buns was another Easter tradition which used to be kept specifically for Good Friday with the symbolism of the cross. Over the centuries hot cross buns were made and eaten on Good Friday because people believed they had curative powers. People hung the buns from their kitchen ceilings because it was believed that the buns would keep evil out throughout the year. The hot cross buns and baked breads were used in powder form to treat illnesses.



Rabbits are another symbol of Easter. They celebrate the symbol of fertility and new life.  The Easter Bunny became a popular children's character just like Santa Claus but during the Pagan celebrations the Hare was the original symbol. Since the hare and rabbit look so much alike and it was hard to tell them apart at some point the hare was replaced by the rabbit.



So as your little ones or older ones, grab their eggs, smile and run around the room, devour the eggs in whole before breakfast, remember as Ellie Goulding said in her song below,

Letting go can be so hard sometimes. Whether it is letting go of a loved one, loosing someone you love - a pet, close friend or family. It seems sometimes that all you want to do is give your heart a break.  At some point in your life, if not already, the proverbial “shit happens” rings in your ears, the hate in life and all you want to do is say ENOUGH!! I can't deal with this anymore. The trying to figure out why, the hurt, the pain, all you seem to do is want to curl into a ball and try and pretend it never happened.





The how do I mend the broken heart. My answer is if it hasn’t already, it may soon, or you may be one of those lucky few who are able to cruise through their entire life and only a small pain along the way, that life treats you very well.  For some of us, Life is harsh, and it is constantly an eye opener and you think to yourself, I just need a year to give my heart a break.


I can tell you, the pain will fade, the heart will keep beating and love will return but it takes time, and for everyone time comes in many waves.

A friend of mine told me that he saw the movie " A Secret Life of Walter Mitty". I haven't seen it yet, but have been told it's a movie about a man named Walter who is a regular guy, with a regular job, and escapes from his colourless life into an imaginary world of outrageous daydreams, in which he always saves the day and wins the girl.

It made me think of the many times I daydream when at work, or wish I was somewhere rather than where I am at the time. The happiness and closeness I feel when saying hello to friends chatting on the iPhone, sharing news, stories, and harmless sexy flirting that brings a smile to our lives. I love my job, but I can't help escape the mundane feeling of wanting to be somewhere else, to feel the sun on my face, to smell the salt air, to be on a beach, to go trekking with not a care in the world, rather than seeming to be watching the hours go past and the weeks go faster. It made me realize that I am missing something in my life, I'm needing some adventure, and the only way I can do that is by finding me.

Many of my friends come to me with tears flowing, sadness, and terribly hurt the fact that some guy/girl has decided enough is enough and the other party has decided to leave.
I don't have all the answers as to what can be done to fix the situation but I can state give it time.


Sometimes it seems that a person wants the other person unconditionally, or to have them exclusive. To ask that of someone you need to ask, Do you actually know the person to ask that in the first place? Is it mutual, How well do they know them, and then I guess also ask, if they say No, then this person is not for you. 



You will hurt, you will cry, and you will feel like you've lost your best friend.  We all want to feel loved. We think about it, hope for it, fantasize about it and go to great lengths to achieve it, however unconditional love is not one sided. To have this love, intimidation is not the key. You need to hold the key to this person's heart and it has to be mutual. It takes time to be able to achieve this love and not an area that can be rushed or taken.
