#243 Amongst the peeling gum of the eucalypt I find my inner freedom with Glitter


I was asked the other day, do you have a special place that you go too so you can relax.
My answer was my home but my second place was a small beach town that I grew up in as a child and loved to go there. If ever feeling down, or just needing to unwind or escape I take the journey there just to breathe in the air and to remember the peace that I had as a child and to capture if only for a short while, the memories of what the place meant to me.

I think in all of you there is some place that we all love, or wish we could go back again
There are even places in SL that we love or keep coming back to as well.

For me, in SL there are many places that I love to visit, but some seem to capture my imagination and keep coming back for more and more photos. I would love to know what places you love to visit and can go visit them for you to bring our SL worlds closer together. For now though our SL destination for today, is the Designer Warehouse, which I am wearing one of the designer clothes from Glitter called Glitter Marina.

#228 The Fall.10 Reasons I love the Fall. with Glitter at Designer Warehouse


I love Fall (Autumn) I have always loved autumn. I will always love autumn and I believe that every year, I will find a new reason to love autumn. The reasons are countless and love is an integral part of my personality.
So here is 10 reasons why I love Fall. What are your 10 reasons to love Fall?

 1. The Colours of abundance, the ever changing brilliant colours each week. The Reds, the yellows, the orange.
2. Starting to think about Christmas gifts for people. Is sometimes a nightmare but I do enjoy.
3. Thanksgiving preparations and time spent with family. (For my American friends, So wish Australia had thanksgiving)
4. Lighting candles in the evening. Buying a new candle and the scent of oranges filling the house.
5. The smell of fireplaces burning and the coziness and haze around the neighborhood.
6. Warm soups cooking in the slow cooker. The aromas filling the house.
7. The thickly carpeted fallen leaves on the ground and the temptation to shuffle and swing your feet through the leaves.
8. Bonfires on the beach and wearing leggings, a chunky sweater, long boots and socks, snuggling with a loved one overlooking the water. 
9. To wrap my hands around a warm hot chocolate
10. Sitting inside and opening a book that I have wanted to read for quite some time.

#198 Comfortably at home with LivGlam and Flash Friendly Poses


The one thing I love having in Second life, is owning my own home. Every year, or sometimes twice a year, I love to search for a new home. In saying that I still have crushes on older homes. I fall hard actually. The old cottage types, the rustic look and ways to make it feel comfy and part of me.  In RL, I adore the character that comes with a charming house built as such before I was born. The rounded wood doors, creaky wooden floorboards, the old lanterns in the hallway. Just simply devine.

In SL and RL, I've been blessed to live my dreams in many beautiful old houses and when travelling overseas, I've been totally infatuated with many more old houses I've loved from afar.
I actually obsess over older homes in neighborhoods and I stalk them. I guess I do this in SL as well. (oops).  I love to see what a person has done to decorate and create their unique style.  What makes the house looks so homely.  I guess that comes from when I was a young girl, dreaming of living in a Scottish castle and fairy-tales and all that romantic girlie stuff, so it is only fitting I romanticize life at home.
