#928 Secrets...


Why are there so many people here that are curious about others’ hidden secrets.. 
Most of us live on autopilot. We brush our teeth without thinking about how we are doing it. Drive to the store without realizing which route we took. Check our phone every time it makes a noise. We live to the moment, and that is our control. 

It is likely that each person has about 13 secrets brewing — five of which you'll never tell a soul. Researchers state that it isn't the number of secrets you keep that's significant. Rather, it's the burden of those secrets — they weigh on you, literally. We all carry around these secrets like they are invisible backpacks.  

By clutching them too closely this can cause stress and harms sleep. Our brains are wired for truth-telling. It is complicated to keep other people's secrets, no matter how loyal you. You soon forget that it was a secret and over time, you don’t remember where you heard it but divulge information that was not to be told...

#820 There is a witch in all of us....


Okay, so here I am.  I have a blog with all of this nice blank space in it. I try and link my blog to the picture when I write, but for the life of me today all I can think about is a quote from one of my favorite movies called Practical Magic. 

Originally stated by Shakespeare, and elaborated upon by Sally Owens in the movie: 

“There are some things I know for certain: always throw spilled salt over your left shoulder; keep rosemary by your garden gate; plant lavender for luck; and fall in love whenever you can.” 
"There is a witch in every one of us.” 

When it comes down to it, the movie still resonates with me and I believe for the generation today. The movie is about the Owens sisters and their bond together through thick and thin. That is the real magic. 
The magic about believing you can always do better. 

Apart from mixing some midnight margaritas and casting a wish that may come true....
