#211 We are free with Mea Culpa and Posesion

I was at a friends house the other day and we sat down to watch a DVD. Out comes Gladiator, one of my absolute favorite movies. However I will say, each and every time the movie and the end theme song evokes such strong emotions inside. It captures such moments and feelings of sadness, happiness, love, beauty and many other powerful feelings which are just too hard to describe.  I have always wondered what the words mean at the end of the movie. So creating this image for you today. I ask that you enlarge the picture, play the youtube song,  sit back and listen to the words that seem to mesmerize, yet enrich such powerful feelings inside.
Do they do that to you as well?

Anol shalom, Anol sheh lay konnud de ne um Flavum

Ham de nam um das...

La um de, Flavne

-And here's the Translation:
Almighty Freedom, Almighty freer of the soul
Be free. Walk with me
Through the golden fields, So lovely, Lovely
We regret our sins, but...
We sew our own fate and, Under my face I remain feeble
Under my face, I smile, Aaahh)
Even alone/afraid, Under my face I will be waiting
Run with me now soldier of Rome, Run and play in the field with the ponies
Run with me now soldier of Rome, Run and play in the field with the ponies
Run with me now soldier of Rome, Run and play in the field with the ponies
Run with me now soldier of Rome, Run and play in the field with the ponies

#209 At a Crossroads with LivGlam, Lassitude & Ennui and Pure Poison

Have you ever felt like you were at a crossroads? "A Crossroads," represents the strength one has to face many of life's changes. Change is inevitable, It can be when someone leaves and something new comes into your life, a relationship, job, or friends that pass through your life. Change provides many opportunities, it is how to learn to manage these changes that is important.

In reviewing my life so far and the many journeys I have taken, I am struck by the number of crossroads I have experienced. At the time, the decision to turn this way or that seemed obvious.
At other times it seemed as though I was thrown out onto a new path without any choice but to move forward. Now, in retrospect I realize that my life might have gone a different direction had I made different decisions at these times. Sometimes I regret these decisions, other-times I embrace them and think I want more. For now though, My life is content. I do miss the friends that I have said goodbye to along the way, and sometimes the pain is still raw. However, any decisions I made along the way learning to trust the "Call" for change was important to me.

For now though, the crossroads is fading in the distance. Wearing this beautiful dress of LivGlam and the exotic and delicate shoes of Lassitude and Ennui coupled with the amazing jewelry of Pure Poison.   I bring to you our special destination for today:- Black Kite (see below pic)

#207 The Show must go on - Summer Sales with Amarelo Manga

Miley Cyrus made news last week with a carnival like stage performance at the MTV Awards. The show included life size teddy bears, flesh coloured underwear, and plenty of gorgeous quivering brown buttocks. Almost immediately after the performance many viewers, television hosts, media all went on a rampage at how she could put on a show like that. The comments were something like distasteful, shocking, and many coloured people thought that is was inappropriate of Miley to dance - "twerk" like she did, (so say the press releases).

Yet I look back at the awards, and think, Yes Miley has grown up, She is no longer the sweet and innocent girl anymore. However it was a show. A show to entertain, a show to flaunt her body. To show people she is amazingly beautiful. Her skin is perfect, her waist line to die for, and above all, she can do what she wants when she wants. Can't she?
I am not a fan of Miley Cyrus, but I don't agree with people mocking others for the way they look.

I think, that as long as you are not upsetting yourself with any particular routine, that you are fit and healthy, then there is nothing wrong with showing people that you love who you are, and that you are happy. Did Miley seem unhappy at all? I think far from it.  For once, why doesn't the media, embrace women for their beauty and state, " Miley, Congratulations, you are a beautiful, carefree, and talented woman".

Wearing the new styles of another talented woman, I bring to you our final destination for today:-

#199 A Theatrical Night with Gizza

When visiting Gizza the other day,  I came across the new Gizza - Burlesque Corset and couldn't resist posing this for you. It actually made me think of when I went to a stage show in Sydney the other day. It reminded me that at it's core, burlesque is about sexuality on your own tems - outrageous, suggestive or demure, with the hint of a tease put back into strip tease.  Even the quick flash of a shoulder can be naughty. :)

Dancers hold the audience in the palm of their hands, the crowd hanging onto their every move, the little bumb, wink and toss of a boa. They are in complete control of their powerful sexuality while they strut and bask in the spotlight for their audience. Performing the flirtatiously feminine and provocative moments of burlesque without apology is celebrating womanhood in all its glory.  Burlesque dancers exude confidence. You will see every body shape: skinny, curvy, short, and tall. Yet what you notice is a performer's attitude. They don't care if they have some extra padding, cellulite or that they have freckles.  All you see, is their smile, the way they move, and that they are empowering and healing to their body image to see that there is room for everyone to do what they are doing.  Burlesque holds no barriers. It is about being confident in yourself and loving the way you look no matter how you look.

So what are you waiting for, come take a visit to our destination for today:-
