#749 Here is how you hail a cab...


The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras 2018 arrived last night in the heart of Sydney and marked a spectacular 40th anniversary. Whilst Alles and myself are not gay, we were there to celebrate Australia’s recently achieved marriage equality, and the arrival of one very special guest star in Sydney…@Cher! 

Sydney Mardi Gras is the world's most joyous and spectacular celebration of LGBTQI pride. Sydney Mardi Gras attracts over 20,000 interstate and international visitors each year, who enjoy a diverse and exciting line-up of events as well as soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the iconic surroundings of Sydney and New South Wales. 

Whilst some people have their thoughts and opinions on people who are Gay, and may have voted No to Marriage Equality, I myself, believe that everyone should have a right to be happy and as adults no one should criticize another for their beliefs.  

So hail that cab Alles, off we go :)

#659 After the Afterparty..


After the after party we're gonna keep it going..
We're gonna rip it up, the neighbours might complain,
I think it's almost 4am but I'm still feeling just fine,.. (Not sure about my pal Alles)
Ice all up in a plastic cup and I'ma keep on sipping all night, yeah
I might a kissed a thousand lips but maybe that's just all in my mind
Some people never understand the way we live but we're living life
Uh huh, hey, uh huh, Monday to Sunday, it's never too late
So everyone say, "we don't wanna stop!"

#644 Fright Night...

When I captured this pose I was thinking of Halloween approaching which is only a few days away now and happens on our Monday night here. Are you ready everyone??


However, a quick walk around any shopping centre in Australia, or my area only suggests that Halloween can’t be dismissed quite as quickly as that these days. Supermarkets, newsagencies and discount stores are filled with Halloween-themed costumes and trinkets, and I can’t imagine they’d give up so much space if people weren’t buying the stuff. There’s not much of a tradition of trick-or-treating (and I can’t see helicopter parents embracing one any time soon), but I suspect it would be a more difficult week than usual to try and hire a costume. Whilst Halloween is not a big event in my town, nor do i have children to go trick or treating, it does look like Halloween is starting to make some impact on our national consciousness.
