There are many reasons why I love Autumn, and why Autumn is a time for reflection and change.

 

What I have noticed though is that a lot of romantic encounters that happen in the summertime, of which is heightened by the nice weather; bare and sweaty bodies, sun on the skin, trim, fit and healthy bodies, (yum), It also brings with it some summertime sadness as well. (cliché but true).

 

I have always wondered whether Summer romances were just as they are, Summer Romances.

It seems that Facebook agrees. They did a study over 2011 - 2012, and for people during Summer, no matter where you live,  people aged under 25, and over 35 changed their relationship status during the months of (May - August) and (December - February), which Facebook believe was an increase in breakups compared to what occurs over the rest of the year. Wonder why people aged 26 to 34 seem to be not affected?

 

Regardless of whether Summer love can be sussed from anecdotal, cultural or data collection, some particulars of the season certainly set the stage for hook ups and for now, Autumn is a time to savour friends, loved ones, and to enjoy whatever time of the year it is for you.

 

For me, I can't wait till September ends, as Summertime is just around the corner for me ;)
