#794 No time to Siesta it's time to Fiesta.....

Every day is a day to celebrate, and why not – There is definitely no time to siesta, It’s time to fiesta! Not that we need an excuse to indulge in tacos and guacamole, and lots of beer and margarita's, but why not celebrate Cinco de Mayo every day? 

I heard the expression let's party like 'Cinco de Mayo' and had no idea what it meant. Cinco de Mayo, I have now been advised is a cultural phenomenon in the United States. People often mistake Cinco de Mayo for a celebration of Mexican independence, but this is not the case.  During this holiday, yes, they get a holiday to celebrate, is due to a failed French invasion after a fledgling Mexican state defaulted on debt payments to European governments. 

Cinco de Mayo is normally celebrated on May 5th.. Just before my birthday, and because it is so close, Cinco de Mayo is the perfect reason to enjoy your favorite Mexican eats! and a way to party the night till the wee hours of the morning. Someone say holiday??
