When I was younger, I experienced my first death that being my grandmother at the age of 19. My mother said to me, when you miss your grandmother, look up into the night sky and she is up there pointing to the brightest star in the sky, she is looking at you and forever will be in your heart and mind.
From that day, I actually noticed the beauty and majesty of a starry sky, and that it is indeed awe-inspiring to the beholder. The universe has always been my laboratory containing untold mysteries in the depths of space. The jewels of the night sky march across this panorama with smooth and gracious transitions as the earth spins without compromise.
Day after day we take for granted the stars in the sky, but they remind us that time is artificially induced and the patience of the cosmos commands our attention to what is really important. Familiar figures in the sky take shape connecting stars of a constellation. Our unaided eyes alone reveal the dim glow of the Milky Way stretching across our view, while streaks of light from a meteor shower require nothing more than our eyes and attention.
So next time you are feeling lonely or looking to reach out to a loved one, look up into that night sky as there is a laboratory of love amongst the stars there waiting for you.
