We met the first summer I started blogging when she emailed me back and forth a few times and then we ended up meeting in person and have been “buds” ever since. Love this fellow Southern girl! and her tales about the sticky Southern summer heat and how we compare the summers to Australia.
I have heard that the southern heat makes people slightly insane. It’s an agitation that seems to grow deep as the season ripens, and the humidity and temperature rise in equal fashion.
This southern heat has been both a blessing and a curse throughout her life. The giver of swims in the local creek and refreshing mint juleps is also the giver of 20-pound sweat drenched t-shirts and late summer landscapes browned and brittle as death itself, or so I have been told...
