As we head into a long weekend here in Australia..and the green light is on for local tourism to spread its wings. The city has started to relax being couped up indoors for the past many months. The reality is though that there is no vaccine available for COVID-19 as yet.
We still need to be aware, embrace our new normal of standing back, washing our hands very regularly, covering coughs and sneezes, and getting tested if symptomatic.
This long weekend is going to be unique. Whilst some clubs, pubs and bars are starting to relax its restrictions and open with minimal people allowed, it will be a whole new outlook on how we find ways of socialising.
Whilst I crave the warmth of the sun that my American friends currently have.. it is Winter here.
The smell of the beach, laughter and catching up with friends I know won’t be far away.. but for now my escape of some ‘fun in the sun’ sadly can only be in Secondlife... perhaps camping and bushwalking may be of interest.. Let's see what my friends have to say..
