#700 I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet..

A friend of mine decided enough was enough, she had liked a guy online for so long, but always chickened out at the end when he asked to meet. I couldn’t fathom why she was so scared to meet in person. Lets just say she was a mix of Angela Jolie with her damn eyes and hair and the bubbly laughter of Goldie Hawn.
He has seen her through vid, cam, snapchat and every every other technological ways except the real deal.
It’s the online dating elephant in the room – how soon should you meet a prospective partner face-to-face? At what point do you stop messaging and take your flirtation out into the real world? Is it the thorny issue that people imagine it can be.  Of course, exchanging a barrage of emails – even phone calls or Skyping– can seem more secure in the comfort of your own home. Can you actually ‘get to know’ someone from behind the safety of a screen.
Put simply, how soon you meet will have a direct effect on your chemistry. Wait too long? You could be consigning yourself to a disappointing date. Thankfully, the window isn’t too terrifying (no one is saying that you have to slurp coffee in the first 24 hours), but after seeing each other face to face many times on screen, it is time to move to the big wide world. Flaws or perfection it doesn't matter, be content who you are and go for it!
