An incident happened at work last week, where I was informed that one of the employees had committed suicide. The topic that no-one wants to talk about. The tragedy affected all of us. The loss was unbearable, not just the people this person worked with, the overwhelming sadness and heart wrenching grief for the family, the friends, the children of this employee. All day, co-workers were in tears, in shock, but also full of remorse, everyone thinking, "Could we have done anything to prevent it from happening. Could we have done more? Why?, Did we do anything wrong. Did we ignore this person's cry for help. Why, Why..Why..
It made me think that so many people I know and have loved have taken their own life cause they thought there was no hope. For the people that think no one hears, or no one cares. Please remember to tell your friends, your loved ones one simple thing: - We care, We love you. There is help out there. You are no alone, We do listen. You are loved, You are a friend, you may not realise how many people will be affected by the action of giving up. It will get better. There is help for you. You may not realise it, but help comes in many ways.
Most importantly talk!!. Let yourself be heard.
