As I head towards my weekend and I am deciding what to do and where to go, I am pleased to announce that I have been invited to be a blogger for Purple Moon. I am so excited. I have always loved and enjoyed the styles and designs that Purple Moon provides for us all. Designer Poulet Koenkamp truly has awe inspiring collections, that has always been a stop on my calendar when looking for that unique outfit, dress, or accessories.


Wearing one of the beautiful collections from Purple Moon called the "Brandy Dress" which can be found (FREE) for the Cherries on Top Hunt III. ThisValentine's event running from February 13th - February 28th, 2014 - 11:59 PM SLT . The Cherries on Top Hunt is open to public (no group membership required).

The Style Icon Fashion Fair is sadly coming to a close. What a whirlwind this fair turned out to be. Held from February 7th to February 28th, until sold out, this event was not one to have been missed.



So many talented and artistic designers, new creations, inspired for you all by their favorite style icon moments.



The Style Icon had an enormous attendance and I can't wait for (hint) The Style Icon Fair no 2.

When I was in my first year of high school, and struggling to find my way, someone anonymously slipped a note into my school bag one afternoon.  It said, “Don’t let them get inside your head.  You’re not nerdy or weird.  You’re complex, creative and far too intelligent for their small words.  P.S for the record, you are also infinitely more attractive than you give yourself credit for.” I never discovered who wrote the note, but whoever they are, they changed my life.  From that day forward, I changed the way I thought about me. What I wanted in life, that no-one person would upset me or make me change the way that I think. In saying that, I appreciate advice given to me, feedback, but I am just me.

I notice on SL or on Facebook, there are so many people that put themselves down. They make comments like "I’m not good enough, or "I should be trying harder",  "I will do better, people expect that of me", or "Why can't I be them".

You might think you’re not good enough, but you’ll surprise yourself if you keep trying.  Your past does not determine who you are. Your past prepares you for who you are capable of becoming.  What ultimately defines you is how well you rise after falling. Remember, it’s always better to be at the bottom of the ladder you want to climb than the top of the one you don’t.  Happiness and success is all about spending your life in your own way, and doing what YOU want.

There is a place not far from home, when feeling overtired, stressed, or just spent in general, that I find my solitude.  This place feels like home. It is where I was taken on holidays, where I spent every single minute of my time exploring as a child.

Now as an adult, I drive to this place, get out of the car, and walk along the road and just breathe in the fresh crisp air. Listen to the sounds of nature, the beauty of the scenery. Not many people know of this place which for now is quite serene and no tourists around. The harmony of this place, relaxes my mind and makes me feel at peace. It helps me think about life, whether I could ever change a person's mind about me and whether I could be more than just a friend.

This place is my solitude and  where I feel like I belong. Do you have one of those places?

If I was to tell you the way music makes me feel, the words would cover this entire page. Music gives me feelings of the ultimate sense of escapism whether it be in my house, in my car, and even when at work if no-one is around :) When I hear a song it makes me feel Euphoric, Uplifted, Magical, Relaxed, Contempt, Chilled, in awe and sometimes nostalgic.

I come from a musical family, both my parents used to sing, My mother played piano, and I too love to hit a beat or too on the piano. Sing yeah I can, but sort of prefer when no-one is around.
However the piano doesn't get much use these days. It gets the love by being cleaned, but there are times I look at it and the feelings of my parents and imagining them singing and playing gets too much sometimes.

Instead, for the moment, I sync up the latest songs in my I phone and crank it up in the car heading to work. What sort of music do you like? I like varied, Where and When do you play your music?

St Valentine's Day has roots in several different legends that have found their way to us through the ages. One of the earliest popular symbols of the Valentine's day is Cupid, the Roman god of love, who is represented by the image of a young boy with bow and arrow.

When attending the ALPHA MALE fashion show today, I am sure there were more women than men at this show and most definitely were sitting up front. Quite possibly if SL allowed for throwing of roses, am sure that there would be scatters of petals and roses all along that catwalk showing their love at all those alpha males. x

 Men are confused about what women want in a dating relationship – no surprise there.
 However one of the chief things single men are confused about is the conflict between what single women say they want in a man vs. what they are attracted to. Like a moth to a flame, women are drawn to thugs, bad boys and players and unfortunately that is me.

What a lot of women like about bad boys is the energy they exude.  Let's say we have a geeky but attractive young professional male that wears Hugo Boss suits and ties to work. Women in his office building say he is handsome, funny and interesting.  Let's say we add an earring and put him in the latest hip hop gear (you know, the baggy stuff), chances are the same professional women who found him attractive as a suited businessman would also find him irresistible as a thug, because they are attracted to his male energy.  He would also draw the attention of younger women that are attracted to his energy and his youthful "gear." Does that sound familiar?

One such women that seems to attract the bad boys is that of Taylor Swift. Fabouzz, inspired by Taylor Swift's Grammy dress have created this silky ruffle 'Grammy Dress' that  I am wearing in white, which comes in many colours.
