#100 Bunny Trails of Easter memories from OrsiniRed


There are so many memories associated with Easter.
Like most kids, my memories are nested within an Easter basket, with loads of Easter treats hidden inside the neon green static cling grass and trees.  I remember going on neighborhood Easter egg hunts, being brought to the shops to get a photo with the perverted Easter Bunny, Watching the adults start hiding the easter eggs in the trees trying to remember each and every spot they thought they were being clever in hiding the eggs. Not to mention, during the daytime lunch secretly hiding the fleshy ham within my crumpled up napkin because it tasted too weird and chewy..

Easter memories were all about being with the family, the trip to Easter mass in the morning and then spending the whole rest of the day eating chocolate covered easter eggs and counting how many I had compared to my siblings and trying to pinch one of theirs without them knowing.

Easter holds a special place in my heart and one that I enjoy sharing with my own family and friends.

#99 Indyra Originals, Legal Insanity and Elephante


What a week. What excitment and now back to work (groan).
 
After a much needed semi-break and social gathering with some old friends from school, some laughs and suprises, not to mention some shocks about how people have changed over the past years. Our school reunion was full of awesome memories, some giggles and plenty of drinks and canapes. Ever been to one of those? Scary a little aren't they.  My outfit of choice for the occasion was particularly sensible and weather appropriate, jeans, light top and felt pretty excited to finally show off my new blonde do.

#98 Springlovin with LIV-Glam


I have been told that in the United States and the rest of the northern hemisphere, the first day of the spring season started on the 20th March.  What I didn't know is that spring brings with it the start of the Tornado season.

Until yesterday, I believed that Tornado's were only found in the US, until turning on the television yesterday I was alarmed to hear that tragedy had occured in the form of tornadoes that had also hit Australia. Shocked by these events, it made me realise no matter where you live, we all seem to share a common ground.  We all have similar weather conditions, just at different times. Spring should herald the beauty, and warmth of the sun, being outdoors with your loved ones and sharing time together, not in fear of what could occur.

I wish everyone a safe and happy spring and a loving Easter with whom ever you share it with.

#97 Pixelites Inc, !lamb and LAQ


Looking to get away from it all and rest, relax and rejuvenate?
Escape for a few hours or a day & I guarantee you’ll feel better for it.
 
That is what I feel when I visit Neva Crystall's sim - Neva River. Neva River provides endless opportunities for relaxation. #96 Legal Insanity and Bens Beauty at Neva River


One of the most exciting destinations has opened it's doors for Secondlife today.

I have been waiting over a year for this to occur and today being the day I have been so excited all day for the teleport to open.

The photos I have been watching, the designs, the inspiration, the creativity by the awe inspiring Neva Crystall.  The wait was definately worth the effort.  Arriving at the sim, I was left breathless by the serene and calming design, architecture and landscaping.

The surroundings were ideallic, tranquil and so true to life. Wearing the gorgeous outfit from Legal Insanity, and Bens Beauty. For one of the most awe inspiring destinations come visit our destination for today called Neva River.

#95 It's a Starbucks Time with OrsiniRed


Some people say there are coffee aficionados and there are tea lovers. But you know what, I like both.  My day has to start with a cup of freshly brewed, strong coffee to help get the brain running.  It is a sort of fuel for my body and mind.

While working in the office,  I keep my brain running with more coffee, even so much as a quick run down to my favorite store on the way to work which is my 'Starbucks'.

My morning coffee run is like the movie Miss Congeniality where I get an influx of calls to the mobile saying you getting coffee today? Well Yes, here we go :) and the list starts. The poor assistant I do feel sorry for her sometimes.

In the evenings, on the other hand,  I love my refined taste of tea. While blogging in the evening, watching a movie, or just relaxing, I keep my senses focused with a cup of white or green tea.

#94 Amarelo Manga, Glam Affair and Gos at Amafi


 
Other than the islands of Greece and the South of France, beaches in Italy draw more people per year than any other country in Europe. The hardest part is deciding which of the Italian beaches to visit, as each one has a storied history and separate features.  One of the most desired parts of Italy is the Amafi Coastline and one that is on my bucket list.
 
This destination today reminded me of Amafi and how I imagine parts of Amafi would look like. A sleepy town with crisp beaches and sleepy Italian cafes just to admire people as they go past.
 
 Amafi I have been told has many of the best beaches in Italy - you can throw a dart at a map and I say you can never go wrong. The sleepy villages along the coast lie on wicked curves, and its villas have acted as getaways for celebrities both new and old.
 
So for our destination today, come take a look at Casablanca Bay South and stop for a coffee as you pass, just to sit and relax at the gorgeous coastline.

#93 Pixelites Inc, and MANDALA


 
The other day when having my bath I started chuckling to myself as I captured a bubble in my hand and blew it straight up in the air.  It was huge, watching it rise slowly, it seemed to float forever. Climbing higher and higher for about five minutes, I couldn't stop smiling to myself remembering what it was like to blow bubbles as a child. Being impatient as I waited for my parents to buy the detergent and the wand, eagerly waiting to run outside and be the first to blow the bubbles before my brother. 
 
We all love bubbles. They are pretty amazing aren’t they. The way they start as just some liquid and form a wonderful colourful floating sphere that floats away and pops in mid air.  Just watching bubbles is both rewarding and relaxing and something everyone loves to do at some time.
I know I'm not the only one :)
 
 That is why our amazing destination for today, courtesy of a friend in Secondlife, took me to this fantasy land of bubbles and a time that in my past I would have loved to grab that wand once again and see how many I could make to float around all at once before they all started to pop.

#90 Lassitude & Ennui, Legal Insanity, Gos and Amacci

 

 
I heard an expression the other day, and thought it suited this image.
"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, its about learning how to dance in the rain."
 
The storm will always pass but why wait? If you wait for the storm to pass, you are wasting time. Kids are a lot smarter than we are. It is never raining to a kid.  You can imagine, the parents  are all bundled up on the beach when it rains. The kids have no concept of cold. All they know is that this is the beach. It is here. It is now. And...they may not get back to the beach for a long time so the kids, in various stages of undress play on the beach and frolic in the water. the parents can be heard muttering "look at those crazy kids, don't they know it's cold?"   If they could stop playing for long enough, the ones with the right outlook, the kids, would probably say "look at those crazy adults, don't they know this is the beach?!
 
So why wait for life to pass you by, life is not waiting for the storm to pass, it is learning how to frolic in the rain like kids once again.

#89 Vinyl 'Legal Insanity'

 
The incessant march of technology takes no prisoners: it’s either upgrade and adapt or rapidly become irrelevant. Such a mantra for modern times finds no better proving ground than in the music industry.  The digital revolution bringing to us, the ipod, the shuffle, the nano, all of these continue to make a major tectonic shift in the way music is listened to, distributed, and sold. 
 
But while digital sales account for 90% of all music, there is still nothing better than finding that old vinyl record.  Vinyl I think is more of an experience. When you pick up a piece of vinyl, you engage it, you think about it, you feel it, you see it, you have to care for it, place the needle on it, flip it over, you’re paying attention to it and it makes the experience of listening to it more meaningful, including dusting down the record player and listing to the sounds within the old grooves.

Do you ever wonder what the world will be like in the year 3000?
 
I imagine there would be incredible biological and technological advancements,
such as the perfection of computer science.
The hardware and software would be the fastest and most efficient ever.
 
 I believe there would be lifts like teleports, that you can teleport
from your home to various places all over the country.
 
Multitude of teleports could be yours to use at any one time from the comfort of your home.
 
From shops, to supermarkets they could teleport the groceries, clothing,  furniture all direct to your front door all by seeking what you want on the internet.

#86 Je Suis, 'Affonso' and Gizza'

 
 
As I work in a nine to five job every day,
The one day that I look forward to apart from the weekend, is 'Casual Friday'.
 
For Casual Friday in my position I don't get that opportunity that often,
due to business meetings, appointments etc.
However I love to admire the girls in the office that dress so smartly when wearing their
casual clothes.
One day I hope I can wear casual clothes at work, such as Mischa is dressed today.
 I would give nothing more that to put on a pair of jeans, t-shirt and cardigan to feel
 comfortable for the day.

Did you know that the Queen of Halicarnassus was called Artemisia.
 
Artermisia was a warrior among Halicarnassus.
 
Artemisia was  attributed with virtue of courage.
 
Courage was in Greece for women, an impossible quality to possess since it literally mean't 'manliness'.
 
Courage they say is a state or quality of mind that enables one to face danger, fear, or vicissitudes
with self-possession, confidence, and resolution; bravery.
 
For those that suffer from cancer, they show courage every day!
 
Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day; that says I will try again tomorrow,
and maybe it is indeed the angel that watches over our loved ones that have cancer and provides the courage that is needed each and every day.

#81 'Coming Home' to K-CODE


There is nothing far better than Coming Home.
Home for some can be in the city, country, or far away from where you currently reside.
 
I hope for all of you that one day you will be home soon.
This short story below is one that reminds me of all of those people
 currently away from their homes.
 
This is a dedication to our soldiers that come home and for those that will be home soon
 
“My brother Aaron is in the Marines. He’s about to ship out to Afghanistan.
He flew back home to Arkansas on Valentine’s Day to spend time with family before he ships out.
 
We didn’t tell mom that Aaron was coming home. So once he landed, Dad and him used the GPS in Mom’s phone to find out where she was jogging.
 
He ran up to her while she was jogging and passed her, bumping into her a bit.
She had no idea it was him.
This had to be the best Valentine’s Day surprise, and we want to share it with the world.

The event runs from the 9th to the 17th March,
raising funds on behalf of The American Cancer Society.
All proceeds go to a great cause.

When reading through a blog the other day, I noticed that we all seem to talk about what items of clothes we buy at the clothing stores.
 
Whether that be SL or RL.
 
What we don't seem to talk about is:What do you like wearing when looking for clothes?
 
I figure the best clothes to wear, is what is easy to step out of, what is easy to put on, and to always make sure our undergarments are just right.
 
Many people like myself can't even step a toe outside of the house without looking good,
but some like comfy clothing, and some just loathe shopping altogether.

#76 Manifeste of 'Pixelites Inc'




 
While standing at the grocery store, I realised I was becoming obsessed over the labels on five different brands of cereal – which one was the healthiest for my family (sound familiar)?
 
 Later that week, as I folded the laundry, I noticed it - a label:
“Made in China. 50% Polyester; 50% Acrylic”, ugg so many types of clothing.
And then it struck me: Every label tells a story.
 
Some of our labels within Secondlife, are driven by true creativity, which makes the
designers work harder.
Their inspiration is on full drive trying to keep up with the latest designs, talents, inspirations and above all time to create.
 
Our Secondlife fashion designers are no different from our RL designers, they look for every opportunity to work sustainably focusing on altering the old rules and designing that next piece of heaven that we will go and purchase at the shops.
