Inspired by the amazing landscape at our destination today and the creative designs of Drift and House of Torn.

I think in finding this beautiful and photographic destination my main focus at the moment is due to all the flooding that is occuring around in Australia.

Not sure if you have heard but the rivers within northern parts of Australia have overflowed flooding 10,000's of houses. People are seeking refuge, there is no electricity or drinking water in some parts as the damns have flowed into the wells where the clean water is stored.

Feeling a little overwhelmed for my Australian friends, and wanting to share my thoughts with everyone affected. I do hope the rains subside, and they can return to their homes.

I dare say all those people who had lovely Christmas presents may have now lost them due to the weather. One minute torrential rain and the next heatwave. For most others it is horrendous snow.
I wish the planet would make up it's mind?

I found myself today wondering around Secondlife hoping to catch some much needed sun before it decides to go away for another day.  Feeling like a bit of a stroll along the foreshore, I found myself at a destination today that photographers only dream about...to catch that glimpse of the other person behind - my friend my shadow.

This majestic car just outside of Mona Lisa Couture reminded me of the Tracy Chapman song - Fast Cars.

The lyrics sound like this:


It made me wonder whether there were any Second - Life destinations that are for car lovers like myself. I especially like watching Nascars, and imagining what it would be like to have no fear and to drive a beauty like the one I am finding myself climbing into with its seductive leather interior.

Inspired by a new found friend in Second-life that was most mesmerizing in her gifted red dress.
 I was captivated at the style of the dress she was wearing and decided to go for a look.

Yes this blogger is definitely happy. Taking this photo, I am imagining being at a luxury hotel with stairs like these to float down.  I know such hotels do exist. You can imagine this is where you would find glossy images of catwalk models interspersed with hotel interiors making the link clear this hotel is Designed with a capital 'D'.

One such newly opened hotel I plan on visiting for work one day is the hotel in Dubai's new Burj building (currently the world's tallest). It has rooms decked out from the Armani/Casa furnishings range and is all in impeccably good grey and chocolate brown taste. What else would you expect.

Wearing this unique gift that was received today to all Hucci members - I came across this cabin in the woods as my destination today - Siden. The old but rusty cabin is apart of a RP game. (For a visit please click the link but respect their privacy.

This perfect cabin was the setting for this gorgeous gift from Hucci in which I proudly display to you today, including wearing this elegant Hucci Gold Lighter ring.

One thing I can say about myself is that I become really excited when I find existing shops that have new items in store.

Whether that be real life or Secondlife,  I become sort of faint as I can't wait to try them on and see what that look like on me.

There are a few shops that I call favorites, and one such shop in Second-life is our destination today - "House of Fox"

Inspired by this stunning Peplum Top in Purple, Harper Pumps, and jewellery from 'House of Fox'.  The elegance of this casual outfit reminded me of a certain author who had a large impact on children growing up and that being Alice in Wonderland.

One such creative destination within Secondlife I stumbled across the other day is dedicated to this author - Lewis Carroll,  in which it is called 'Bubbles in Wonderland'.

Lost World is a photographic gem full of mystery, detail, old world surroundings and hidden places of peoples creativity.

I feel quite special today, and adventurous in these old but elegant surrounding of this mesmerizing destination. Come take a visit.

With this fantastic backdrop at Indyra Originals Mainstore Clothes, and our destination today.

I am wearing this unique look from Angels Designs with my fabulous sunglasses from DeLa.

My aim today was to look like a city girl and it occured to me I really do miss the city.

I live and work about 2 hours from the city, and most of you would call it the country. Slow paced, lush suburbs, mountains on one side and ocean on the other and everywhere you have to drive and buses are limited.

However, in the city I miss the people, the crowds, everything being close, ie: departmental stores, and lots of jobs opportunities. I miss the nightlife, the restaurants and above all, the variety of entertainment that is available.

In the country everyone knows everyone, the people are friendly and genuine and relaxed and sometimes you get the feeling of a family environment wherever you go. People ask about your family, yourself and it makes you feel at home. They are genuinely concerned about you.

So today, I wanted to look like a city girl and imagine my life if I wasn't living in the country today.

Wearing this beautiful and delicate summer lace catalan one shouldered blouse from Indyra, and this sparkling Indy&Co.: Heirloom necklace, I came across a place today called Garden of Greenburg.

The one thing that I like to do in Secondlife is to explore.  To explore I mean to go off the beaten track and to have a good look around. To see a destination in full, to see what other people mighten see in their quick visit to a destination.

I like to unravel little secrets and to find the unexplored. Whether in RL or SL, whether we know it or not, we are natural-born explorers. There are many reasons why we explore. From birth we learn about life and how it works by exploring. No one can be satisfied for very long without exploring. Whether you are talking to someone next to you or looking around the room, you are exploring!

I would say I am fairly adventurous and the destination today has many hidden little secret caves and lovers hideaways.  Definately go off the beaten track and you never know what you might find.


Destination: Garden of Greenburg

In my very ever first blog called Mischa Moyet's Coffee Talk, many people asked questions of me like: Why do I come on Secondlife, Where do I go,  and what places can I visit?

One old favorite place of mine to visit is our destination today called "The Pixel Bean Coffee House".

Wearing this gorgeous Chiffon Mesh Summer dress from Izzies, and this (free necklace and earings); it reminded me why coffee shops are a great place to meet people either in RL or on SL. 

Coffee shop's interior design and architecture are designed to relax a person. From the shapes (Zen, or asian, or modern, whatever you call it) to the colors to the materials being used to put together a coffee shop atmosphere. It provides ease to our senses, which evokes relaxation from within. 

Lately, technology forces us to do things which we were not capable of doing before. Technology pushes us to achieve things which we may have not thought of before.

In effect, because of technology, people are actually doing more than ever before.
So, a little form of relaxation is something that we are willing to pay for even if it costs.

Coffee shops provide relaxation, from the waft of coffee that draws the senses, and the people that I meet along the way, this is for you. Somewhere to relax and just hang out.

Looking back I’m amazed at many things.  I’ve survived my youth and retained the wonder that my memories bring.  How great it was in the 80's/90's as I cruised and listened to VanHalen yelling 'Jump' as loud as I could listening to the cassette whilst driving down the road.

Even just the memories of spending time alone reflecting, soul searching as I headed to my friends house; going for long walks and listening to the bell birds as they sounded overhead.

Not having a care in the world, laughing and no time to dream about what was in store, because I was living day by day. The future far from my mind...

Thinking back now, with what I have done in my life. I am still listening for those bell birds, still going for long walks, and laughing with my friends just glad that each day that passes I can share these memories with my friends and family.

Secondlife offers many places for walks and hanging out with friends and loved ones and/or even just spending time alone. So tell me where is your favorite place to spend some time alone?

Wearing this gorgeous outfit from Morea Style, and this magnificent necklace from Donna Flora (Winner of the BOSL Award 2011 - Best Jewelry Designer)  and feeling inspired by this gorgeous picnic setting by Chez Moi, it occured to me what inspires people to be romantic ?

In fact, most literature that children read when growing up promotes the ultimate fantasy as the rescue of the damsel in distress, the white knight in shining armour, or the princess needing rescue.  In other words, literature and the arts generally create roles for the genders: the damsel in distress for the female, and the heroic prince for the male.

However in today's 21st century,  there are various types of romance and one that I believe still stands true. The prince needs to understand that woman not only crave the passion and ecstasy of romance, she needs it to be truly happy. When the princess is happy, she will do everything to make her prince feel like a king !

Secondlife offers various romantic destinations and animations for various couples, and for today, one little shop I found called 'Chez Moi' offers various romantic settings, furniture and items for that right moment, or for what ever prince charming or princess you desire.

Wearing this gorgeous off the shoulder top from Deeses, and this beautiful necklace from Purple Moon, I came across this small collection of quaint stores in Secondlife, and one in particular that caught my eye.


Delving into the little quirks that the shop has instore, I came across this mesh antique book case and it reminded me of why I like to read and write.

Reading mesmerizes me. How a handful of pages bound together and printed with only black ink can explode with thousands of colors, sounds, and emotions thanks to our ability to read. Those little black words open our minds to thousands of new worlds and adventures that we might never experience on our own.

To me that is what Secondlife offers as well, an escape from our reality, even though reality can be combined if we choose.

Secondlife offers many romantic destinations and opportunities for dancing; being together with a loved one, and/or having those times together to get to know one another. Such a place I found today is that of Midnight Sonata. The magical lights, the colours are truly amazing with a little help from moi and an animation from MyANIMATIONS.
